Toolbars are everywhere. Some companies use them exclusively to offset the costs of making something free so you can get that “cool” screensaver or application. The problem is, some of these toolbars are not there for your health. Sure, some of them just displays ads while you are trying to browse. However, some of them actually spy on you and send information back to the “mothership”. So before you install something that you haven’t used before, don’t just mindlessly click next through the install window. See what it is you are installing. And if it does install a toolbar without your knowledge, turn it off!
